Cinco de Mahj O. More Than a Game.

The evening was everything we hoped it would be and more. A room full of people from all different walks of life gathering around Mahjong tables for one reason… connection through the game.

One of the most beautiful parts of Mahjong is the community it creates. At our event, we had people of all ages and backgrounds. Retired women, entrepreneurs, moms, empty nesters, couples, beginners, advanced players, and even dads joining in on the fun. Some came with friends, some came solo, and some walked in not knowing anyone at all.

And somehow by the end of the evening, everyone felt connected.

Some guests grew up around Mahjong while others came because they wanted to finally understand what all the hype was about. Some had been practicing online through I Love Mahj. Others were learning how to play with three people, Siamese Mahjong, or simply trying to survive the Charleston without panicking. 😊

At every table there was teaching happening. Beginners learning from intermediate players. Friends helping friends. Players sharing strategy ideas and debating the new 2026 card. Some people are loving the new card while others are feeling a little frustrated by it… but honestly, that’s part of the fun too.

What makes Mahjong special is that you are always learning. No matter how long you have played, there is always another strategy, another hand, another way to think through the game.

And the truth is, the only way to get better is to practice.

But why not practice with other people who are just as motivated to learn, improve, connect, and have fun along the way?

That is what these nights are really about.

Not perfection.
Not winning every game.
Not knowing every hand on the card.

It is about gathering around the table, learning together, teaching each other, laughing through mistakes, celebrating Mahjongs, and building community one tile at a time.

We are so grateful for everyone who joined us for Cinco de Mahj O and cannot wait for the next Open Play nights ahead.

🌸 Growing Big Ideas at Camp Honeysuckle 🌸

Spring Break 2026Where Creativity Meets Confidence.  

At Camp Honeysuckle, we believe summer should be more than just fun. It should be meaningful, inspiring, and full of growth.

This camp was created with a special purpose. To give kids the opportunity to explore creativity while learning how to think like mini preneurs. From designing their own products to working together as a team, campers are encouraged to dream big, take initiative, and build confidence in everything they do.

Our Spring Break camp was a huge success, and it really confirmed that this concept works. What made it so special was the balance. We focused on teamwork, leadership, and creative thinking during the first half of the day, and then shifted into play, outdoor activities, and simply letting kids be kids in the afternoon. That combination created an environment where campers felt both challenged and free, structured and joyful.

As a mom, I have seen how quickly time goes by. My daughter ElleMae is already 7, and it has made me more intentional about how we spend our summers. I wanted to create something that allows me to be present with her while also creating a space where other kids can grow, learn, and have an unforgettable experience.

As a business owner for over 20 years, I have learned so many valuable lessons about creativity, resilience, teamwork, and thinking outside the box. Camp Honeysuckle is my way of bringing those lessons to life for kids in a way that feels natural, fun, and engaging.

Throughout the week, campers will:

• Create and design their own planter projects

• Learn basic business concepts in a kid friendly way

• Work together, share ideas, and support each other

• Build leadership skills and confidence

But just as important as the learning is the fun.

From outdoor games to pool time, Camp Honeysuckle is filled with moments that feel like summer should. Joyful, carefree, and full of laughter. It is a place where kids can be themselves, make new friends, and leave feeling proud of what they have created.

At the end of the day, this camp is about planting seeds. Seeds of creativity, confidence, leadership, and big thinking.

And watching those seeds grow is the best part of all.

🀄️ The First Month of Strictly Mahjong - March 2026

Building Community, One Tile at a Time

What started as an idea has quickly grown into something truly special. Our very first month of Strictly Mahjong has been filled with laughter, learning, connection, and a whole lot of “Mahjong!” moments. 💛

From beginners sitting down for the very first time to seasoned players jumping in to guide and support others, it has been incredible to watch this community come to life.

✨ A Mix of All Levels

One of the most beautiful parts of this first month has been the mix of players at every level.

• Brand new players learning how to read tiles

• Intermediate players building confidence

• Experienced players mentoring at the tables

There is something special about watching a table come together where everyone is learning from each other.

🀄️ From Confusion to Confidence

One of our favorite things to witness is the transformation of beginners.

At the start of the night, you’ll see unsure looks and lots of questions. By the end, those same players are smiling, calling tiles, and getting excited to win their first Mahjong.

That shift from “I don’t know what I’m doing” to “I can’t wait to play again” is exactly why we started this.

💛 Community at the Core

Strictly Mahjong is about so much more than just the game.

• Meeting new people from all different backgrounds

• Sharing knowledge and growing together

• Creating a space that feels welcoming and judgement free

We’ve already seen friendships forming, players returning week after week, and a genuine excitement building around Mahjong in our Smyrna community.

We are still in the early stages, and this is very much a work in progress, but that is part of what makes it so exciting.

Every week we are learning, adjusting, and growing together. And the best part is the community is building it right alongside us.
