Day 5, Week 1 at Camp Honeysuckle 🌿☀️
Week 1 Recap
What an incredible way to wrap up Week 1 of Camp Honeysuckle!
Today, our min- preneurs put the finishing touches on their final projects by creating beautiful custom planters that showcased everything they learned throughout the week. The girls combined their ceramic flowers, handcrafted bees, painted creations, and real flowers to design unique planters that reflected their brands and personalities.
The afternoon was spent preparing for our mini showcase, where campers proudly displayed their hard work for family and friends. It was wonderful to see their confidence shine as they shared their ideas, brands, and projects from the week.
To make the day even sweeter, the girls successfully completed their team Star Wars puzzle, earning the ice cream party they had been working toward all week! It was a great reminder of what can be accomplished through teamwork, perseverance, and encouragement from friends. They earned an icecream party!
The campers also got to visit the Treasure Table, where they exchanged the tickets they had earned throughout the week for prizes. Tickets were earned through teamwork, kindness, participation, helping others, and demonstrating great attitudes. The Treasure Table was a huge hit and a fun way to celebrate all of their hard work and positive choices.
This week was the perfect balance of learning, creativity, teamwork, and fun.
Our campers learned:
🌿 What a brand is and why it matters
🎨 How to create a brand name, message, colors, and personality
🖍️ How logos are created and how ideas turn into recognizable brands
🪴 How to bring their ideas to life through hands on projects and creativity
Along the way, they designed brand signs, created tote bags, painted flower sculptures, made custom bracelets, worked together on a giant Star Wars puzzle, and built their final planter masterpieces.
Of course, camp wasn't all work. We enjoyed Dog Bingo, UNO, Jenga, soccer, playground adventures, pool games, homemade buttermilk waffles, a spaghetti lunch party, and countless laughs with friends.
Most importantly, the girls built confidence, practiced teamwork, solved problems together, and learned that their ideas matter.
Watching these young entrepreneurs grow throughout the week has been incredibly rewarding. We are so proud of everything they accomplished and grateful for the friendships, memories, and creativity that filled our first week of Camp Honeysuckle.
Week 1 may be over, but the confidence, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit these girls developed will continue to grow long after camp ends. 🌻
