Ice Cold Lemonade, Week 2 at Camp Honeysuckle 🍋☀️

What an exciting week for our Camp Honeysuckle mini-preneurs!

This week, the girls took their learning beyond camp and into the real world by launching their very own lemonade stand in Downtown Smyrna in front of The Bunny Hive. Their goal was to raise money to cover the vendor fee for the first Kids Market event where the Honeysuckle Club will have a booth.

The girls worked together to create giant Ice Cold Lemonade signs, develop a list of supplies, set up their stand, and learn what it takes to operate a small business. Once everything was ready, they enthusiastically greeted customers and called out, "Ice Cold Lemonade!" to attract attention.

They even visited nearby businesses to introduce themselves and let people know they were open for business. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to practice communication, customer service, sales, teamwork, and handling payments.

The best part? Their hard work paid off. The girls exceeded their fundraising goal and earned more than enough money to participate in their first market event. Watching their confidence grow throughout the day was incredible.

Of course, it wasn't all business!

After a successful day of selling lemonade, the girls cooled off by running through the Splash Pad fully dressed, creating plenty of laughter and unforgettable memories. They also had the opportunity to shop at a local Smyrna favorite, Jonquil's Gifts, supporting another small business in our community.

The day ended with pool time, playtime with friends, and celebrating everything they had accomplished together.

This week was a perfect example of what Camp Honeysuckle is all about: learning real world skills, building confidence, supporting local businesses, creating friendships, and having plenty of fun along the way.

I could not be more proud of these girls. Their hard work, enthusiasm, and determination helped them reach their goal, and now they are one step closer to becoming vendors at their very first Kids Market event! 🌻
